  I give this service department ZERO STARS for its lack of ability and customer service. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR IN FOR SERVICE HERE. I usually have to call five times in a row before reaching a single live person in the service department.
  
  I left Gurnee Chrysler after a routine oil change, and my battery light came on about half a mile down the road. Hm, I thought, that's weird. I figured I would head to my destination which was only a few miles away and have my friend look at it there; I was already planning on returning to Gurnee Chrysler the next day to do a program update.
  
  When I arrived to my friend's house and pulled onto his paved driveway, smoke began to billow out from under my hood. I got out of the car to watch oil gush from under the same area. We sopped up the oil with rags and took some pictures.
  
  It took me about 7 phone calls before I reached a service department person. They gave me a number for a tow company that never answered, and then I had to call back and get another number. (Julie's Towing in Gurnee is awesome, btw.) I required a tow back to the dealership, which they said they would pay for but because service was already gone when I arrived, I cannot attest to her being paid. I received a loaner car free of charge.
  
  I gave my key to a porter and made him put a note on my steering wheel saying "do not drive--no oil" since my dipstick came up dry when I tested it earlier.
  
  I got a call at 6:45 in the morning asking about the car because nobody had informed the assistant manager about the situation. I was told someone would call me and keep me updated about my car throughout the day, but I had to call twice, each time requiring about 5 or 6 calls and transfers before reaching someone. Nobody called to check in to make sure I knew anything by 12:45 when I first called or at 3:30 when I called to see if I would be able to pick it up after work.
  
  I was told that the oil cap was faulty and that everything would be cleaned but that nothing required replacement. I do not believe the faulty part. My battery light turned on when I was barely down the road, which means oil had been spilling on my alternator from the get-go.
  
  I wouldn't be that upset if it wasn't for the fact that it is IMPOSSIBLE to get anyone back in service on the phone, and while I start out feeling calm and collected, by the third or fourth time I have to ask to be transferred back there, I have completely lost my patience. It's the worst.
  
  Save yourself the frustration and steer clear.
